The Best Minute: A good day, asking questions, and God’s will

2 QUOTES FROM OTHERS

I. Margaret Thatcher on what makes a good day:

“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's a day you've had everything to do and you've done it.”

———————————

II. A proverb on asking questions:

“The person who asks is a fool for five minutes, but the person who does not ask remains a fool forever.”

2 IDEAS FROM ME

I. “What is God’s will for my life” is often too broad and daunting of a question. Instead, ask “how can I trust God this week” and you’ll more likely be doing what he wants you to do with your life.

———————————

II. You can desire to make progress in your life while still respecting who you currently are. Self-loathing is not a requirement for wanting to improve your life.

1 INTERESTING FACT

The car manufacturer Volkswagen sells more sausages each year than cars.

Most people know Volkswagen for their iconic line of campervans, the Kombi, or even the Beetle. A lesser-known product that comes out of Volkswagen’s factories is currywurst sausages. Why in the world would Volkswagen make sausages?

VW built one of their factories in a remote location and decided to make their own food for the factory workers. Their sausages were so popular that Volkswagen began selling them commercially in 1973.
