Put due dates on all your tasks.

Deadlines bring clarity to what needs to be done when and helps us focus on what we need to be working on. Simply adding things to your to-do list without specifying when it needs to be addressed makes it a lot easier for things to pile up because you haven’t been clear on your deadlines.

Anytime you add something to your to-do list, but a due date on it. If you don’t get it done on the assigned day, change it that day to another day; but don’t let it exist without a due date. This will help you keep tasks from falling through the cracks because now you know exactly when everything will get done.
