💡 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I. When you're young, you will tend to underestimate how meaningful each day can be.
The decisions you make today will impact you tomorrow. You are doing things that will have a positive or negative impact on your future. You have a lot of time, yes, but you don’t fully appreciate how impactful today will be for your future. You don’t yet fully appreciate the pain of regret.
When you’re older, you will tend to underestimate how much opportunity and potential you still have.
A big reason why many people your age don’t do something may simply be because most people your age assume they can’t or shouldn’t.
Don’t talk yourself out of it. Try the thing. You don’t have to be amazing at it to find joy, purpose, and meaning in the opportunities you have in front of you.

II. When trying something new and hung up on the best plan or strategy, remember this:
Starting changes everything.
Not reading about it, or watching a video, or asking ChatGPT - actually starting.
You can’t course-correct or learn when you are not doing.
The best thing you can do is start.
💬 2 HELPFUL QUOTES
I. Dan Meyer on how to solve problems in the real world":
“What problem have you solved, ever, that was worth solving where you knew all the given information in advance? No problem worth solving is like that. In the real world, you have a surplus of information and you have to filter it, or you don’t have sufficient information and you have to go find some.”
II. Adam Grant on criticism:
“Criticizing is easy and fast. Creating is difficult and slow. The two hours you spent on a book or movie usually took two years to produce.
Anyone can tear down someone else’s work. The true test of insight is whether you can help them improve it or build something of your own.”
📖 1 BRIEF BOOK REVIEW
This book highlights some of Tim Keller's most impactful teachings.
It’s admittedly a very niche book. While it focuses on Keller’s more helpful and profound insights, it reads almost like a devotional. Even if you’ve never heard a sermon from Keller or read any of his books, this feels like a curated summary of some of his best material.
Personally, because Keller has been so influential in my life, I enjoyed the book. At times, though, I was a bit unclear whether the author was sharing their own thoughts or reiterating Keller’s.
It’s a hard book to rate because it’s a unique kind of work. I enjoyed it overall, though it wasn’t particularly exceptional (to be fair, that wasn’t the author’s intent).
